COVID-19 - Cover Open Valuables In Deeds

Dear Lagniappe Family and Friends,

So yes how many phrases can you make from COVID? Can Opulent Valuables Increase Daily? Anyway, COVID-19 has some of us down but we are definitely not OUT; outside, outdoors, outfitted for spring, not summer, nor outwitted. There is so much work that some of us are doing on the inside and behind the scenes that it's outlandish!!!

So our COVID-19 phrase this week Cover Open Valuables in Deeds comes from a wonderful initiative by a team of Valiant Individuals, from an organization called Women for Women FRANCE. 

We had the pleasure of interviewing Sarah McGrath, founder to share with us what is Women for Women France.

When COVID-19 struck people were put on lockdown in places that should have been safe havens not only from the threat of COVID-19 but also serve as a shelter. Many of these places were not safe havens for many women and children in times that preceded the lock down. When reports came out of China concerning the increase of domestic violence calls and police interventions (when they would arrive). Organizations began to take notice and start preparations for their own citizens that could and eventually would find themselves in the same situation. 

Women for Women France  is working to provide Valuable Information for women, children and those that are experiencing violence in the home. 

They began their campaign April 8th - with help from Jane Birkin and other "expats" living in France.
